Ann (known as Karen) lives local to Marlborough with two grown daughters at university. She has lived locally for 23 years, having moved from her family home in Scotland. Her children attended local schools and she was a Parent Governor responsible for Special Needs provision for many years in her local primary school.
Karen is an experienced business woman as well as a solicitor specialising in family law. She has a degree in business and languages and a diploma in marketing as well as her law degree and legal practice certificate.
Conscientious, committed, and dedicated to getting the best solution at a realistic cost in what can often be a traumatic and stressful situation, she has been described by a top family barrister as “having a sensible and pragmatic approach and never fails to put the interest of the client first.”
Karen is looking forward to servicing her local clients in the Hungerford area from the new offices at The Courtyard, High St, Hungerford.
One of Karen’s hobbies, apart from spending quality time with her husband and daughters, is cycling for charity. She has helped raise £1000s for Women v Cancer, helping women with breast, ovarian and cervical cancer. Completing the 60 mile night ride through London twice now, the 2nd time with her youngest daughter, who was the youngest woman out of 2000 riders.
Karen is also a trustee on the Board of Trustees for YPACF (Young People and Children First), which established a development program tailored for each young person to ensure that they have all the right building blocks in place to go confidently and positively into adult life – so they can reach their potential, not hindered by their troubled start.
She is also a Christian who attends the Pewsey Methodist Church, always taking time to sit and talk to the elderly congregation, or to help with any jobs they need doing, often involving her husband and children to help as well.
