Meet the Team

We are a combination of Solicitors, who are also experienced and mature business people, with an office in Hungerford, who are local residents, parents and grandparents. We have a wealth of knowledge and expertise, both legal and business. Owning other businesses allows us to appreciate the need for local businesses’ legal services, contract law and employment advice.

Being parents and grandparents, we understand the complexities of family law, raising children and the issues sometimes facing married and co-habiting couples. Our aim and our purpose in the business comes from a wish to offer a local service in Marlborough and Hungerford to local people by local people and we hope that you contact us for a free 3 minute consultation to see how we can meet your needs and solve your problems at a realistic cost.

Our team consists of Solicitors, although capable in most areas of law they are specialists in their chosen fields.

Low Cost Legal Solutions

It is our aim to provide a legal service that is affordable and our business is set to do just that. We will advise as to the likely cost of any matter and because of our more personalised approach we are able to provide an efficient and tailored service to each client without the additional costs of many larger or traditionally setup lawyers.

Our Core Values:

Resolution’s Code of Practice

Resolution members commit to a Code of Practice that promotes a constructive approach to family issues and considers the needs of the whole family, in particular the best interests of children.

Dealing with separation and divorce is difficult. Emotions are high and even if two people agree, the changes can be overwhelming and stressful.

Resolution believes the process of separating, sorting out finances and child care can and should be done in a way that minimises conflict and keeps the best interests of any children at the heart.

Resolution is an organisation of lawyers and other family justice professionals who are committed to following a non-confrontational and constructive approach to resolving family issues. Our Code of Practice promotes a constructive approach to family issues and considers the needs of the whole family, in particular the best interests of children.

This means you can expect a Resolution member to:

  • Listen to you, be honest with you and treat you with respect.
  • Explain all the options and give you confidence to make the right decisions.
  • Help you focus on what’s important in the long-term.
  • Help you balance financial and emotional costs with what you want to achieve.
  • Work with others to find the right approach and the best solutions for you.
  • Manage stress in what can be an already stressful situation.

Resolution has members across England and Wales providing a range of services, from lawyers and barristers to financial advisers and family therapists, but everyone agrees to respect our Code of Practice when working to resolve your issues.

Family break up is often a fraught and difficult time for parents, and it can be even harder for children. However, Resolution members are here to help find a better way. Our members offer free or low-cost advice through their firms across the country, or through schemes like the Family Law Panel or Advicenow.

As part of our annual awareness week we’ve also published the Parenting Through Separation guide to help, and made it free to members of the public, alongside a suite of useful resources and articles on our website. We know parents want to put their children first and this guide will help many more to do that with tips on things like communicating with your children during separation and dealing with big life events after you’re separated.

Resolution members offer support that can help minimise conflict, put the best interests of children first, and avoid court where possible. That’s good for parents and children.
