Selling a Business

When selling a business the solicitors role is to make sure that you, the seller, have a smooth sale, and that the terms of the sales agreement are not detrimental to you.

Depending on the structure of your business, different agreement will be needed.

For example a Share Sale if you are the shareholder of your business my be appropriate.
However, an asset sale my be more suitable, so named assets of the business may be transferred.

This may be more appropriate if there your business has no separate legal entity such as a company, or if parts such as your goodwill only is being sold.
